Heart In The Community CIC

We provide Home Help services in Thanet as well as groups and activities in the local community.  Our groups centre around promoting good health and wellbeing, reducing loneliness and isolation.  All of our groups are free to attend.  If you would like to keep up to date with what we offer than please email us and we can add you to our mailing list.  You can also follow us on Facebook Heart In The Community CIC.

Home Help / Companion Service :

Small Team of dedicated Support workers fully enhanced DBS checked and up to date training, available to suit your personal needs or the needs of your loved one.  There is an hourly charge for this service.  We can provide support in the following:

  •  Home visits – morning/afternoon/evening calls
  • Befriending / Companionship
  • Shopping
  • Cleaning
  • Food prep
  • Gardening
  • Home hairdressing
  • Days out
  • Hobbies / Activities
  • Appointments
  • Admin
  • Join in with community groups / activities
  • Support with self neglect
  • Sign posting / support with referrals
  • Support with benefits / housing etc.

Groups & Activates :

Tuesdays: “Art for Wellbeing” – Art for all abilities free to join Tuesdays 1-2pm @ The Recycle Shop Birchington.

Wednesdays:  “Peer Support Coffee Morning” – Do you struggle with your health would you like to get out and met others then join us every Wednesday @ The Recycle shop Birchington high street 11-12pm.

Every other Wednesday:  “Age UK Drop in:  Drop in and have a cuppa with our Age UK specialist every other Wednesday @ The Recycle shop Birchington.

Thursdays:  “The wellbeing Workshop” – Every Thursday Birchington library 2-3pm different topic each week on health and wellbeing, get out socialize and meet others 2-3pm.

Fridays:  “Lunch Club” – Every Friday 12-2pm,  at the veterans association Birchington get out meet others socialize, discounted lunch, snack, beverages.

Areas: Birchington, Sarre, Westgate, Minster, Monkton, Manston, Garlinge, Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, St Peters
