Some things to think about when you're looking for care or support
Find out moreHello, my name is Debbie and I am a yoga teacher. Yoga can help you with your day to day activities like making a cup of tea and carrying the mug into another room. Yoga strengthens muscles and also stretches them. The type of yoga I teach also offers nervous system resilience. This means it can also help you with day to day challenges such as being sad or anxious. The gentle movements of yoga, practicing with like minded people, can help to change your mood and the way you see the world around you.
I recognize that many people are worried about their osteoporosis, my classes are aimed to support this. I offer lots of variations to the poses we do. I would like to bring yoga to a wide range of people: people who would not normally have thought they could participate in a yoga practice. Yoga has been scientifically proven to help people with long term health conditions including asthma and diabetes.
One of my long term students said recently “I can garden because I do yoga, I can swim with my grandchildren because I do yoga”.
