My name is Suzi Henno and I have recently set up Suffolk Dementia Support. My passion is to deliver the highest quality person-centred care and support tailored to suit your needs. My aim is to help families and support networks to keep strong bonds with their loved one as their needs and abilities change through support and education.
We will explore your current needs and work together on a life story book so that we get to know more about you and put together a plan to find things that you either currently enjoy, wish to explore or used to enjoy but stopped. Dementia does not mean that your quality of life has to diminish. It is the start of another chapter in your or your loved ones life which I aim to help you to enhance and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns in communication and to help everyone adapt to new circumstances.
Needs will likely change with time and due to this I will regularly review services available and amend things where necessary.
I aim to work alongside you and overcome obstacles together and develop a strong working relationship going forwards.
Services offered include but are not limited to personal care, shopping support, welfare visits, trips out, bespoke activity plans and packages, one to one support to attend clubs and socialise, befriending, companionship, light cleaning duties, meal time support/preparation.
Also offering services in the comfort of your home or care setting for nail care. This is an essential aspect of care that can become neglected with life pressures but are essential for maintaining good hygiene and dignity. This can be a very enjoyable activity, not just for you loved one, but also for yourself for when you need to unwind. Nail care offers one to one time and the human touch that can help us to reconnect to each other.
