My name is Lorna and having spent over thirty years working within the care sector, I have recently set up as a sole trader offering bespoke independent care, support and companionship for those individuals who need a helping hand or more to maintain their independence at home. Whilst gaining my knowledge and experience over those thirty years I have had the pleasure of supporting a wide range of individuals from the elderly and young adults to children.
During this time, I have cared and supported many individuals who have had varying levels of disabilities and illness including dementia, learning disabilities, brain injuries, autism, mental health and end of life.
I hold both my NVQ level 2 & 3 in Adult Social Care, NVQ level 3 in Dementia, both NVQ level 2 & 3 in Children and Young People Social Care. I am up-to-date with all training such as Manual Handling, First Aid, and Food Hygiene etc. and I am fully insured.
The skills and experience I have gained in this time allow me to be able provide a 1-1 support service that caters to a persons individual needs to help keep them independent for longer. My support services include personal care, companionship, inclusion, respite, sleepovers, domestic chores such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, making and attending appointments and much more. I am a member of the Catalysts for Care directory and Social Care wales.
I am based in Haverfordwest but willing to travel. Please do not hesitate to get in touch for a friendly chat if you feel that you or a member of your family may benefit from my services. I am a naturally gentle caring person offering you a ‘helping hand’ at a price you can afford.
Many thanks
Lorna
