Tia Xixa Tarot is the name of my Tarot practice, named after my Brazilian ancestors who used to interpret playing cards.
My name is Jess, I am a professional Tarot reader and movement practitioner, interested in the intersection of symbolism, movement and Tarot cards.
I offer two types of regular group workshops: ‘Tarot Cafe’ and ‘Dance the Tarot’.
Tarot Cafe: a space for self exploration through Tarot Cards. We compare and learn about the history, symbolism and function of different Tarot Decks – they all have the same structure but the images can vary. In this 2 hour workshop you have the chance to pause, feel centred and connect more deeply to yourself through the Tarot Cards.
Dance the Tarot: a movement workshop where the Tarot Cards come to life. Through somatic exercises, play, movement and dance, we explore how the images from the modern deck called ‘Clarity Tarot’ can be embodied to make you feel physically connected with the archetypes and symbols found in Tarot cards. This is useful to get ‘out of our heads’, and enjoy a creative playful dance session.
