Sarah’s Home Help – Companionship and practical support in your own home.

Hello there! My name is Sarah and I am a self employed home help support worker. I am here to help you to enjoy life to the maximum possible!  I have worked in the care industry for 15 years. I have worked in dementia and elderly care within  care home setting as well as providing private help at home help for clients.  I am  also a mum to two boys, and relocated from the West Midlands to Somerset 3 years ago!

I am a bubbly, caring, reliable, efficient and compassionate person by nature, and  these qualities shine through in my work. Whether you require support to maintain your independence in your own home or you just want companionship, a cup of tea and a chat, I am here to be of assistance!

Services I can provide are:

  • Befriending / companionship – spending quality happy time with you, passing the time.
  • Food shopping –I am happy to assist you in shopping at your pace,  collecting shopping for you.
  • Washing and ironing – I can do your washing and ironing for you.
  • Household tasks– hoovering , dusting, washing up etc.
  • De-cluttering – helping you clear rooms and spaces that have become busy.
  • Getting to appointments– support you during appointments including transport to and from doctors and hospital.
  • Prescription pick ups – so that you do not have to worry.
  • Pet care – feed, walk or let your dog and/or let your cat out.
  • Meal preparation -whether it means a sandwich, warming up a ready meal or support you to prepare a full meal of your choice.
  • Social outings– whether you want to get out and about locally, a spot of lunch, join local social groups or stay connected with friends and family.
  • Updating family – providing feedback of visits to customers / next of kin

 My visits are a minimum of an hour and I’m happy to chat whilst I complete your tasks or you can have a rest with a cup of tea!
