My name is Mel Barker, I have been involved in social care since an early age; living and helping in my parents’ small care home in Kent. I now live and work in Suffolk. I have had a varied career which gives me a broad range of skills and spent over 20 years volunteering with Girl Guiding.
I also offer independent living skills for adults with learning disabilities and community-based activities. Daytime and evening respite visits are available. All services will be carried out in a kind and caring manner with no rushed visits allowing you to be in full control. I have a friendly and warm manner but always maintain a professional approach and understand clear boundaries whilst working in your home.
