Social Care Future set out the following in its vision: “We all want to live in the place we call home, with the people and things that we love, in communities where we look out for one another, doing the things that matter to us.”
There are many people who live in our local communities that would benefit from your support to help them achieve this, and Community Catalysts can help.
Community Catalysts can help you access a grant and free support to set up an enterprise in Gwynedd that offers care and support to older or disabled people in their homes.
You will have the opportunity to apply for a grant of £250 that will cover most of the costs involved with setting up your enterprise, such as insurance and paying for a DBS check.
In addition to the grant, once you join the Community Catalysts development programme, your local catalyst, Fran Lowden, will be on hand to guide you with everything you need to know about setting up your enterprise. She can ensure you have everything in place to be safe, legal, effective, and sustainable.
As this project is funded by Cyngor Gwynedd, you will also have access to a number of training courses, most of which are completely free.
Community Catalysts also have links with local organisations such as Menter Môn who can help guide you on areas such as bookkeeping.
If you have been thinking of setting up an enterprise offering care and support to older or disabled people in Gwynedd, now is your chance to get the help and support you need to turn this into a reality.
