A note from from Nick Sinclair,
Director of the Local Area Coordination Network
Hello everyone,
A warm welcome, as always, to our monthly exploration of all things Local Area Coordination and beyond. Many thanks to Lily for assembling another fantastic newsletter.
This month, we’re thrilled to share the news that Local Area Coordination has begun to take shape in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), and Westminster. This marks a significant milestone for us, and we’re excited to commence the development journey with those involved there.
It is our Network’s belief that implementing Local Area Coordination requires dedication and vision. Through the efforts of Local Area Coordinators, leaders, partners, and, of course, local people themselves, we are paving the way for more connected, inclusive, self-supporting places and systems. Local Area Coordination is not just a program, rather a catalyst for positive change, helping people to lead fulfilling, connected lives with a sense of belonging, purpose, and connection in and to their communities.
By working together as the Network of councils and partners doing this, we seek to amplify the impact of this amazing work, thus creating a ripple effect of positive change. We’re delighted to be working with two fabulous new council areas who are taking up this unique challenge where they are!
Watch this space for more, and enjoy the newsletter!
